"In 2003, I had pain in my shoulder so bad that I couldn’t sleep at night on my shoulder. I finally went to GNC and asked them who can I go see to find out what’s going on with my back and she told me that you need to go see Dr. Schwartz. Well, I said who’s Dr. Schwartz? She said a chiropractor and I told the gal then that I don’t believe in chiropractors, to me they are witch doctors. She laughed and said that you need to go see her because she can fix you. I said okay, I came in with a drawback just to see her and find out what she could do. She did everything from A to Z—she took x-rays and all this stuff. When I came back in, I see this big x-ray up on the board. I looked and thought, wow, looks like that person has what I have. When I got close it had my name on it. So I was shocked to see how she could show me everything because all my lower vertebrae were pinched. She explained to me what she could do to help me. She then started to adjust me. We started out 3 or 4 times a week, then 3 times a week, then 2 times a week, then one time a week for 6 months. And it got to where I was fine again, where I could lift weights again. And then I was to a point where I should have been coming to her once a month for maintenance, but I didn’t and let it go for a few years because I moved back to Decatur from Champaign. About 2 years later, one day I was working, I’m a contractor, and twisted my back and felt something pop. I let it go and then all of a sudden it got worse. So then because I lived in Decatur, I went to 4 different chiropractors in Decatur for a 2 year time span, which was a total waste of my money and time before I called and set up an appointment to see Dr. Schwartz again. I came and we started the whole process all over again, we did x-rays and so forth to see where my problems were now. The new x-rays had shown I had the same problems in my shoulders but down in my lower lumbar where I had some pain on a different side, I had some different problems —I was a mess. So Dr. Schwartz did what she always does, she’s very professional and she is not a “witch doctor” (as I had once thought of chiropractors) because once again she has corrected my back. We went through the same process of treatment. Now I am on a maintenance plan that I plan on sticking to. I am a golfer, and I couldn’t play golf for 2 years. After Dr Schwartz fixed my pain, at the end of the summer I went and played golf and I am still playing golf to this day. I am doing everything fine, not having any problems now and Dr. Schwartz is not just a chiropractor, she is a Miracle Worker. She provides a miracle for the pain that I go through with my body because she devotes herself. She gives to me what no other chiropractor has given to me. When I had gone to other chiropractors and told them I had pains elsewhere they would still do the same thing, they didn’t do anything else and it got worse and worse and it would just irritate me. I would have liked to have gone in and told them “I would like my money back.” But I didn’t do it. When I tell Dr. Schwartz I am having a different pain someplace else she does something else. She tries to get rid of everything. Like today, she did a lot of things that were different, that she’d never done before, but yet she still goes through the same process of everything else too. A lot I think is just the relationship that she and I have built with each other since 2003. We have built a relationship where I not only trust her as a chiropractor, but I trust no one else. I’ve never been in better condition with my body as I am today. I am 58 years old and still lift weights and I still do it because I want to stay physically fit and know the more physically fit I keep myself the healthier and longer I will have in life itself. I believe in everything that Dr. Schwartz does for me and if I were to recommend any chiropractor to anyone, I only know one chiropractor—Dr. Schwartz."
Q: You had mentioned at first you had hesitations about going to a chiropractor; what were those hesitations?
A: "My grandfather was a chiropractor and I will never forget the few times I went up with my dad to get adjusted. He just scared me. I had no knowledge of what a chiropractor was and when I saw him doing all this twisting and jerking and cracking and popping I thought Wow, this is crazy.”
Q: What is the major/one difference, because you said you’ve been to several, now between the others and Dr. Schwartz?
A: "The others stick to their remedy procedure from day one all the way to day 365. Dr. Schwartz sticks with the remedy all the way through, but any time I have any problems, she addresses those problems also because she knows that (this is my own understanding) if she doesn’t address these other things too it can cause more problems and she wants to stop all the problems as a preventative measure and anything else from getting started. She cares, she cares more than any other chiropractor I have ever been to and she has proven it. When I leave her office I feel great, I feel like she has taken the old body away and given me a new one. All these other chiropractors I went to for 2 years, I got to the place that I was in more pain when I left than I was when I came in. Now I love to come here because I know when I walk out I will feel great. I know it—she takes the pain out of my body and these others could not take it out they would make it worse."
Q: What’s the first thing Dr. Schwartz does when she walks through into room?
A: "She smiles and makes me feel welcome; that she is glad to see me and I know she is because she knows what she has done for me, what she can do for me that no one else can. When she comes in I see that smile on her face and the beauty within herself and knowing what she can do for me—that’s where it all starts. She gives me the most positive vision that I can get from any doctor."

Dr. Schwartz I appreciate all that you have done for me in the past and all of your efforts in curbing the pain I have. I feel like it is your care that has done the most to help provide me with any amount of relief from the almost constant pain. That is why when I do come in and you tell me to do something I do it, because all of the things that you have told me to do has allowed me to have at least some periods of time when the pain is not so bad and for me anytime at all that the pain is not so bad is a great dayfor me plus I feel like I can continue to work a little longer after a visit to your officeand the fantastic care I get when I am there.
